New Empower Project Launched
We are launching a new Empower Project (aka cost of living assistance) this week.
The project is funded by a grant of £96,000 from the Robertson Trust for a period of three years enabling a full-time adviser to provide holistic advice on financial support.
Our adviser is available to help people of all ages in Moray with benefit checks, income maximization, budgeting, utility issues, simple debt, form filling and sourcing UK and Scottish government financial help schemes.
Moray CAB Manager Mary Riley said,
“This new adviser will enhance our existing team’s efforts to help people in Moray who are struggling with the cost of living”.
“There are so many people across Moray who are finding it hard to make ends meet at the moment, particularly with high fuel bills and the cost of goods in the shops. There is no shame in asking for help, and we can often help people find un-tapped sources of income”.
“So, my message to people across Moray is that if you are experiencing difficulties as a result of the rise in the cost of living then contact Moray Citizens Advice Bureau”.
“We are here to help, our service is free, confidential, impartial and independent.”
